I beg your pardon but do you know who you are talking to? This isn’t some fly by night boring events band you know – this is HARD TO HANDLE. And in our world, every night is a party night. Lovely bride Paige hired us to perform at her wedding reception at Kingscote Barn in Gloucestershire based in hearing our music and seeing our videos on an entertainment agency website. If you’re not overly familiar with what this means, here’s a quick explanation: if you Google “Best wedding bands Gloucestershire”, “Gloucestershire wedding bands” or something similar, you’re like to come across websites which list lots of bands, show some content for each band, a rough quote and a link to click on which allows you to request a more detailed quote.
While there’s nothing wrong with hiring one of the wedding bands Gloucestershire has to offer through an entertainment website, it’s useful to know that you will always be paying more than if you hire a band direct, because entertainment agencies are run as business and as such will charge a you a commission (that’s their fee) on of what you would have paid if you had hired the band direct without going through the agency. Agencies essentially are charging you for an introduction to the band, but given that you are reading this blog post, it seems we have already been introduced!
So, back to Paige and her new husband Mark. Knowing that HARD TO HANDLE BAND are always happy to learn and perform song requests, the happy couple did have a few “must play” songs, two of which were new to us and lots of fun to play, one which we had played previously and were happy to revisit.
