Talking, as much as we’d love to play the whole night for you and your besties, as variety is the spice of life, we let our DJ take over and play sets before, inbetween and after the music. Whereas some bands talk about providing DJ-style music, all this usually amounts to is a preloaded Spotify playlist that one of the band members presses play on at the end of the band music (and then walks off to the bar). This means that thought there will be music, it won’t be interactive. Guests won’t be able to request songs. If a duff song is played, it will clear the dance floor, and once guests leave the dance floor, it’s bloody hard to get them back on again. This kind of corner cutting is something some Warwickshire wedding bands do. Moreover, it’s a favourite trick of some entertainment agencies – they’ll say that for the fee they have quoted, the band will provide in-fill music but if you want customisable music when the band aren’t playing, you’ll have to hire on of their DJs at an extra cost.
