For peripatetic entertainers who set visit venues, set up their equipment and perform, our capital city can present a series of challenges – from navigating a complex various charging zones when driving, taking an hour to crawl less than mile through traffic, dodgy kamikaze food delivery scooters, loading in to venues from busy streets into venues without loading areas under the watchful eyes of traffic wardens, through narrow concourses, trying not to bump into luxury cars or the burly security details of nameless Eastern-European ultra-rich tourists, setting up in miniscule performances areas usually inhabiting by a too cool for school DJ playing low-key acid jazz hip hop fusion to Gen Z influencers looking for the next hustle.
And yet, inbetween the constant noise and frenetic pace of London, there is still space for real entertainment. Actual live music played by musicians who know how to create a visceral live music experience. And because Londoners appear to have been told that having fun is wrong, they are often the most appreciative of audiences. When HARD TO HANDLE arrive in their manor, set up quickly and expose them to a blast of over 2 hours of high-energy rock, pop, indie, pop-punk, 90s and some nostalgic classics, and our DJ spins proper dance, R’n’B, Ibiza classics and more, it seems to us that they are reminded of how much fun life can actually be when they are given permission to let their hair down, kick back and truly enjoy themselves.
For HARD TO HANDLE, it’s about getting guests to relax, lose their stiffness and get onto the dance floor. Yes, the music we play is absolutely key to this (check out our massive genre-busting playlist), but it’s also about showing you as someone who is looking to hire a live professional band for their wedding reception, party or business event that’s it the whole experience that you’re investing in – the boundless onstage energy of our musicians, the amazing sound of our PA, the club-style lighting and of course the dance floor heaving with guests all night.
Quite often we hear brides, grooms and party planners tell us afterwards they knew they were going to have a good time based on the performance videos and music on this website but still had their expectations blown away by how genuinely entertaining live show is. And so it was that Atull, who hired HARD TO HANDLE as his London party band in Southwark, just south of the river was definitely appreciative of what we had to offer. Having planned his birthday party for a long time, he knew he wanted to pull out all the stops and hire a professional, exciting, high-energy live band and DJ to entertain his guests. And as a live music fan he collated a large list of song requests of bands and artistes that acted both as an expression of himself and also as stone cold dancefloor-fillers. And guess what?
