The landmark series Peaky Blinders may have wrapped production a few years ago, but the Shelby train continues to roll on in its’ cultural homeland in Birmingham. Here there are regular Peaky Blinders pageants, Peaky Blinders parties and Birmingham Council have made it a legal requirement for men to wear flat caps in public. Not that this needs to be mandated in law as all Brummies do this anyway; which is why when Rich and Claire decided to hire HARD TO HANDLE BAND to perform at their Christmas party at The Bond in central Birmingham, we arrived with suitable headgear already in place. We did however get special dispensation which allowed us to not have to wear long trench coats, as they are not conducive to the amount of running around, jumping and shape throwing we indulge in during our performance.
With all regulatory requirements in place, we arrived at one of our favourite Birmingham venues, loaded in our equipment and quickly set up to allow our DJ to get the party started – we can usually have DJ music playing for you within 30 minutes of arrival, so if the earlier part of your day has run over and you find your evening guests are starting to arrive, don’t worry, our DJ will get the dance floor heaving as soon as possible, so there will be no need to wait around for hours before music starts.
Let’s back the truck up a little. Each year, HARD TO HANDLE BAND perform at over 200 events.
