Yurts and tipis come in all shapes and sizes. When is a yurt a tipi? When is a tipi a yurt? We have no idea. But as long as it’s got a roof, sides, a power supply and a hard, dry surface for us to set up on, we’re all good to go – just point us in the right direction and let us do our thing. And by “thing”, we mean creating a non-stop party vibe, performing indie anthems, rock bangers, pop hits and more. Both HARD TO HANDLE BAND and our DJ are top notch professionals, playing back to back music to get you and your guests on the dance floor and keeping them there all night.
Dawn hired us to perform for her guests at her wedding reception at Thorpe Garden, Tamworths’ finest (and probably only) yurt venue. The yurt at Thorpe Gardens is large and basically a permanent structure, but if you find yourself hiring a smaller and more intimate yurt, tipi or marquee, you might want to look at the type of live wedding band you’re hiring. In smaller spaces, a large function band featuring five or more musicians will take up more space and inevitably leave less space for your guests to dance.
As a three piece band however, HARD TO HANDLE can expand or contract to almost any available space, so you won’t have to worry about whether the band will be able to set up all of their equipment or your guests are going to be squeezed into a small area. Perfect!
As it was, Dawn, her husband and guests loved our eclectic mix of music, tonnes of energy and ability to create a full dance floor. What’s not to love?
