We are often asked – should we hire our wedding entertainment through an entertainment agency or should we find a band direct? It’s a good question. There are of course many reputable entertainment agencies featuring hundreds of good bands and many brides and grooms have satisfactory experiences with them.
There is no denying however that hiring a band direct means that you will be able to speak to the bands’ musicians directly to get a feel of the services they offer AND you are likely to be able to secure their services for a more cost effective fee than hiring them through an agency.
Anyway, despite the fact that Russell and Alice went down the agency route to hire us, to perform at their wedding reception, we still love them. After the gig we approached them with giddy anticipation and a shaky camera arm to ask them their thoughts. “We had a great time!” We guess that means the love was reciprocal. Good news!
