Chris Stapleton or Luke Combs? Of the crop of recent batch of country / blues artistes that have made waves reached our shores from the US, both Chris and Luke are our particular favourites, but we simply can’t decide if we prefer the authentic southern baritone drawl of Combs or the dirty bluesy delivery of Stapleton. At our gig for the lovely Emily and her groom Jacob, Chris Stapleton was the clear winner – Emily asked us to learn and perform “Starting over” for their first dance at Wethele Manor, Warwickshire.
Killer song, emotional, tugs on the heart strings. So much fun to play live.
